During the spring of 2025, the Teaching and Learning Department, the Nashoba Regional High School Counseling Department, and the Innovation Pathways Program Coordinator partnered with SchooLinks to explore the platform’s virtual tools and capabilities. This work focused on understanding how SchooLinks could enhance and streamline the district’s existing MyCAP (My Career and Academic Plan) efforts. After careful review, the district determined that SchooLinks offered expanded benefits and greater 6-12 continuity for students, leading NRSD to transition to the platform.
In summer 2025, a collaborative team of middle school and high school teachers, deans, and counselors participated in the NRSD Summer Academy to develop SchooLinks curriculum for grades 6-8 and 9-12. A key goal of this work was to ensure consistent MyCAP experiences across all three middle schools, so students would enter high school prepared and confident in their academic and career planning journey.
By September 2025, the Summer Academy team finalized SchooLinks presentation materials for grades 6-8, while the high school counseling team identified priority goals for the year. Staff across all middle schools and the high school participated in training sessions during staff meetings to ensure readiness and shared understanding prior to student rollout.
In October 2025, all students in grades 6–12 were officially onboarded to SchooLinks, and students began engaging in initial lessons and activities designed to introduce academic and career exploration in developmentally appropriate ways.
In January 2026, SchooLinks was formally announced to families districtwide, and access to the platform was expanded to families of students in grades 9–12. At the same time, a SchooLinks Family Information Hub was developed to provide additional resources and guidance. These steps were taken to strengthen family engagement and to give parents and caregivers greater visibility into their student’s academic planning, career exploration, and postsecondary preparation.
