BUDGET FOR A NEW NASHOBA HIGH SCHOOL 

• The School Building Committee (SBC) voted unanimously to support development of a schematic design for Option 4D.

• The  Nashoba Regional School Committee (NRSC) voted unanimously to accept the recommendation of the SBC.    

• The total project budget was approved by the SBC and NRSC on May 31, 2023 (presentation below).    

• The approved budget and funding process was presented during Public Forum #7 on June 14, 2023 (presentation below).

• A modified budget was approved by the SBC and NRSC on July 18, 2023 to take advantage of additional reimbursement points available through a new 2023 policy under the MSBA Green School Program (presentation below).

• The NRSC voted unanimously on August 2, 2023 to incur debt for the total project budget of $241,714,926, including a  "Estimated Maximum Facilities Grant" of $64,811,362 .  In December 2023, The MSBA announced a Supplemental Grant of $14,938,628, increasing the "Estimated Maximum Facilities Grant" to $79,732,079  .  A revised Total Project Budget (December 2023) is shown below.

• The MSBA Approved the Project Budget and a Draft Project Funding Agreement on August 30, 2023.

• Presentations to the School Committee about Budget Development are linked here.

• Bolton, Lancaster and Stow approved funding for the project in September 2023 via majority votes in Special Town Meetings and Special Town Elections.
