MUSIC THEORY II (PRE-AP MUSIC THEORY)

This course is designed for students who already read music confidently and have a solid understanding of major scales and major key signatures. The course will cover reading both treble and bass clef, major and minor key signatures, chords, intervals, and part-writing. This course is intended to prepare students for AP Music Theory. This class will focus heavily on the skills required for AP Theory: ear training, part-writing, and score reading. This course is highly recommended for students interested in improving their jazz improvisation skills, and those considering majoring in music in college.
