This course focuses on how health professionals handle medical emergencies. Students will gain an understanding of the basic principles of infection control including universal standard precautions as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Students will have the opportunity to complete the OSHA-10 General Industry Safety and Health online course to earn a national certification. Students will also learn how to provide treatment to those in need of urgent medical care. Upon completion of this course, students will sit for the American Heart Association certification exam in First Aid/CPR/AED. Please note: There may be a fee attached to this course for certification testing.
