Prerequisite: Introduction to Business

Have you ever thought about being your own boss or inventing a product? This course introduces students to the critical role entrepreneurs play in the national and global economy. Students learn the skills, attitudes, characteristics, and techniques necessary to become successful entrepreneurs and manage a business. They explore starting a business, learn about the operational issues, and financial risks that new businesses face. Students create innovations to solve real world problems and participate in a Shark Tank proposal. Students will also create a SWOT analysis and calculate break even to promote successful business operations.
