Why should you join Band?

Being a part of the Northbridge Middle School Band gives you an immediate close group of friends. Not only will these friends be with you every year, but this group will also expand as you continue on your musical journey and meet all of musicians in other grades, the high school, and beyond! 

In addition to learning some pieces you might not know, Mr. Goguen makes sure that his students get to select some fun songs for our concerts as well. So far during Mr. G's time at NMS, some of the songs Band Members have picked are: The Star Wars Theme, Jurassic Park Theme, Uptown Funk, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Avengers Theme, and Africa! 

A big part of being in Band at NMS is learning how to work together to achieve great performances. Whether we are learning songs as a full band, or if you are working with smaller groups within the class, we are alway striving to be better.

Lastly, and most importantly, in the NMS Band we have lots of fun! Spending time with friends, earning Band Karate Belts, as well as celebrating our successes are all part of being an NMS Band Member.
