Do not assume Europeans are taking over (yet). Europeans are turning to the outer reaches that are not dominated by major Land Based Empires; they are establishing Maritime Empires. The land empires will fall, opening the door for Europeans to begin to dominate, but they cannot until that happens.
The Mughals in 1857, the Tokugawa in 1868, the Manchu in 1911, the Ottomans in 1919 - that is how long some of these land based empires last - so don't jump too quick thinking the Europeans had it in the bag!
Keep in mind College Board focuses on expansion, administration AND belief systems. BUT, there are several empires mentioned by name. Below I have provided links to Freemanpedia where you can find a ton of information on each of those empires.
