Please plan to take a few minutes every evening to read for class. It is imperative that you take on this responsibility for TWO reasons:
Obviously, to prepare yourself for the College Board AP World Exam in May.
To help develop your content knowledge outside of class. In class, we are limited on time and days - to cover all of the content in the classroom is impossible. In class, I will highlight and address major points of interest and illustrative examples BUT will focus on developing your historical skills and writing.
Please keep your notes in your binder and bring them with you daily to class. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BRING YOUR TEXTBOOK TO CLASS.
You will find the reading list to the left of the page. Follow it - I will not adjust the reading calendar. You will be reading ahead of where we are in class.
Watch this helpful video about how to take notes.
You will be held accountable for taking your notes through weekly reading quizzes. Expect these on Mondays & Tuesdays the day you have class. These quizzes will be anywhere between 5 and 20 questions. Questions will be based on the readings from the previous week.
