Stage Crew & Design

Level 1: Laying the Foundations

Discovering the tools of stagecraft

  Exploring the foundations of DESIGN through Script Analysis, Given Circumstances, and Dramaturgy to develop a design project (set, costumes, lights, sound, props, marketing & publicity, or other proposed ideas to communicate a visual concept for a play.

Introduction to Acting

Level 1: Exploring the Foundations

Discovering the tools of the acting craft

     Exploring the foundations of ACTING  through Script Analysis, Given Circumstances, Dramaturgy, Action, Ojectives, Tactics, Performances, and Critiques.  

A character monologue is developed and performed by practicing learned skills.

Advanced Acting

Level 3. Acting with Friends

Building on Foundations

 Using acting and other skills begun in Intro to Acting (and possibly in Stage Crew & Design), students work with others to create scene work using analysis, given circumstances, dramaturgy, rehearsal, critiques, and more, while exploring given circumstances and dramaturgy.
