17 Again is a new musical based on the popular 2009 film starring Zac Efron and Matthew Perry, with music and lyrics by the Broadway team of Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner (First Date) and a book by Marco Pennette (Ugly Betty, Mom). On his 35th birthday, former high school basketball star Mike O'Donnell faces a marriage that has soured, estranged teenage children, and a recently delivered "You're fired" slip. When he magically steps back into his 17-year-old self, he thinks it is his chance to do over the basketball future he abandoned when he learned he was to be a father. To his surprise, he finds a richer and more profound truth than his basketball glory days: his love for his wife and children. He realizes he wants to fix their problems even if it means not returning to be the husband and father he wishes he had been. 17 Again, the Musical features catchy tunes, recognizable high school characters and situations, and an upbeat message about love and taking responsibility for your family.

Parents/Guardians please note the original 2009 film is rated PG-13. The film and musical include mature language and situations. The choices made by the characters resolving the situations are responsible and appropriate. Some of the film scenes have been deleted or reworked into songs. We have chosen to use alternate scenes suggested by the authors. We suggest you read about and/or watch the original film to make your own informed decision about bringing your children.
