Welcome to NPHS Theatre & Thespian Troupe 5464
Set in 1692 against the backdrop of the Salem Witch Trials, Arthur Miller's The Crucible is a literary masterpiece, challenging our perceptions of who we can trust, how far one would go to accuse and insinuate our neighbors, and attempting to answer if our faith will be enough to protect us. This play demands our attention, not just as a lesson on what has occured in our past, but also as a reminder of what is unfolding in our present and what could happen in our future. Still taught in schools today, The Crucible contains themes of envy, jealousy, revenge, loyalty, hope, truth, and whether or not our goodness matters most in this world.
