Teacher Expectations


What to Expect from Your Child's Teacher(s)

Teachers will have office hours on Wednesday to answer questions.

-Teachers will create and share Zoom links for Synchronous instruction through Google Classroom.

- Special Education teachers may communicate with students and families during times other than the teacher office hours as a way to provide additional instructional support.

- In the younger grades, parents may want to communicate with the teacher in order to clarify directions or provide assistance to students. It is acceptable for parents to contact the teacher by email or participate in a conference during instructional hours.

Teacher's Assessment of Student Work

- Remote Instruction and assessment will be focused on core content and skills associated with each individual course. The types and number of assessments will be appropriate for the grade level and course. Expectations will be noted throughout Google Classroom.

- Individual assignments will be graded for accuracy and/or completeness and assigned a numerical grade. Grades will continue to be entered in Skyward.

- Students will receive a letter grade for each class. Grading will not be Pass/Fail.
