Suggestions for Successful Online Learning

School Counselors understand the challenges Remote Learning may present in your daily life. We encourage all parents and students to stay #NorwinStrong! and to contact your child’s counselor if you have a specific concern.

-Find a quiet place with no distractions to work during your Remote Learning days.

-Log into your Google Classroom to complete your assignments and for links to synchronous Zoom sessions. Please do not rely on the "To Do" list. You must enter each specific classroom to access essential materials and posts.

-Complete all assignments from your teacher and adhere to the due dates.

-Try your best!

-If you have questions, contact your teacher by email.

- The School District realizes there may be circumstances where students cannot login during designated work times. Please contact your teacher if other arrangements will need to be made in order to conduct student attendance.

Examples of How Teachers will Direct Students to Submit Assignments

-Students can turn-in assignments on their in-person classroom days or through Google Classroom.

-Students can take pictures of work and upload their work. Genius Scan is a good option as discussed in the Google Classroom tab.

-Students can submit a video of something they have completed.

-Students can indicate they have completed the assignment using Google Resources such as Docs or Slides.

-Students can be asked to complete assignments using paper and pencil and save the hard copy to turn-in during in-person instruction.

-Learning platforms such as Class Dojo, Seesaw, Khan Academy, etc. may be also used to submit assignments.

*Not all assignments that are completed will need to be uploaded, collected, and/or graded.
