Parent Resources

Norwin understands that parents will be busy with their own daily schedules.

Once students login, they should be able to complete their classwork and attend Zoom sessions by following the directions of the teacher.

- Follow the guidelines for Remote Learning provided by your teacher.

- Encourage your student to complete classwork provided by their teachers.

- Monitor student work to the best of your ability.

- Reach out to teachers via email with any questions you may have.

Zoom Meetings

Teachers have been provided with procedures for setting up Zoom meetings with students. Security tips are updated regularly to ensure that teachers are scheduling and holding meetings in the most secure remote environment possible.

Parents and others providing assistance to students who are participating in remote learning are asked to help students create a good learning environment for Zoom meetings. Here are recommendations to assist with that process:

  • Find a quiet location free from distractions.

  • Use headphones when possible.

  • Log in to the Zoom meeting on only one device at a time.

  • If parents or other helpers have questions about Zoom or during a Zoom meeting, those questions should be emailed to the teacher after the Zoom meeting. Only students should participate in the Zoom meetings.
