NJROTC classes meet as part of the regular school schedule. One period a day not including extracurricular activities.
Cadets participate in after-school activities, drill practices, and many other events. Activities such as visiting military bases, community service, and participating in leadership training.
NJROTC offers numerous benefits, including leadership development, teamwork and discipline. Cadets can earn awards, scholarships,participate in community service, and take part in various activities such as drill teams, color guard, and orienteering.
Cadets wear uniforms provided by the NJROTC program for no cost. Uniforms are worn once a week during uniform days (Thursday) and for various events. Cadets are taught how to properly wear and care for their uniforms.
There no cost to participate in NJROTC. Uniforms and textbooks are provided by the program. However, there may be a costs associated with optional activities such as field trips, or special events.
