MISSION STATEMENT:
The Corporal Manny Lopez NJROTC Honor Society recognizes and honors high-achieving cadets at North Rockland High School who are enrolled in Naval Science. Members are expected to maintain strong academic standing and demonstrate a commitment to serving the community through the values and skills gained in the NJROTC program. Additionally, cadets must actively complete service hours and contribute to fostering continued interest and enthusiasm.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
The cadet must be either a NS3 or NS4.
The cadet must always maintain an overall average of 3.75 in the Naval Science and a 3.0 cumulative average in all other school courses.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
The cadet must have completed 2 years in the JROTC to be eligible.
Cadets must achieve the rank of Cadet Petty Officer Third Class (E-4).
Cadet must be in excellent behavioral standing. (Not have received more than one in-school suspension in any given year and must not have received any out of school suspensions.)
The cadet must be a member of one of the following: The Drill Team, CyberPatriot, Stellar Explorers, SeaPerch, Color Guard, Orienteering, Physical Fitness, or Academic Team. Cadets must attend scheduled team practices and compete in at least one competition.
The cadet must accumulate at least 2.5 hours of community service hours per month.
Cadets must be able to obtain a score of Satisfactory or better in the Cadet Fitness Challenge.
