All of this information is fluid and could change at any time based on guidance and regulations the district must follow. Please be sure to check back here regularly for any updates to this information.

Below is the Northmont Reset & Restart Plan and information about the learning option that will be available.

The purpose of this plan and document is to aid Northmont City School District employees in navigating the reestablishment of our school system where employees, students, and families feel safe and to reduce the impact of COVID-19 conditions upon returning to the district. The guidelines referenced in this plan are based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Public Health - Dayton & Montgomery County. Regular updates will be made to this plan based on information provided by the CDC and applicable federal, state and local agencies.

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 28, 2020: (from the One Call sent to families)

Good Evening Northmont Families!

This evening at our September school board meeting, we shared our plan for bringing students back for face-to-face learning beginning in October. Included in this plan is the remote learning option. We’re sharing a calendar with you to help paint the picture more clearly (see below). We’ve also made adjustments to the Northmont Restart Plan that can be seen HERE. This journey is ever-changing and we appreciate your patience as we work to get students back in the buildings. While the restart plan is at the district level, each school building will share individual plans with more specific information.

Reminder: After reviewing the plans, families who feel the need to switch options are asked to notify their building immediately so transportation needs and class sizes can be equitable.
