What to Bring

What to Bring

All athletes should come to practice with the following:

  • Comfortable footwear--This is a MUST for a positive experience and to avoid injuries. Running shoes need not be expensive but they should be the right fit for the runner. If you choose, there are several specialty running stores in the area who can help you select the correct shoes for your running style. We have a great relationship with Whirlaway in Methuen. Just mention you are part of our program.

  • Comfortable clothing--Whatever the runner is comfortable in given the day's weather conditions. Remember, you can't wear it if you don't have it!

  • Water bottle--Even in the cooler weather of the late fall, hydration is extremely important. In the warm weather of the early season, the need for water goes without saying.

  • For those with long hair a headband or hair tie may make life a whole lot easier!

  • A positive attitude--We want everyone on this team to come to practice happy and, more importantly, to leave happy.

Please, no phones other electronic devices at practice unless a change is indicated by a coach. It is important for all of our athletes to be able to hear the coaches at all times, especially when we are running on the roads or trails. Safety and fun are our top two priorities in this program and we want to avoid distractions as much as possible.
