PRINCIPAL'S NEWS & NOTES

MES Glow Run

Dear Parents,

This year’s PFA main fundraiser is the Boosterthon Glow Run (formerly Color Run)!

The Glow Run will take place in the MES gymnasium on May 30, 2019. Our Fun Run will be powered by the Boosterthon Fun Run, a fun organization that organizes Fun Runs all over the country. This year 2,900 schools like ours will run their fun run through Boosterthon.

Due to the inclement weather, the Glow Run will be held inside and no color will be thrown during the event. However, we may still use it during Field Day on Friday, May 31st. The ingredients of the powered color that the students will be running through is attached for your review. Boosterthon has noted that the powder is safe. However, if you do not want your child to run through the color, please contact your child's homeroom teacher.

In addition, the Boosterthon and PFA suggest that you have your child wear eye protection and bring a small towel to school for this fun event.

~ Thank you ~

Box Tops for Education

FINAL CLASSROOM CONTEST!

The time has come to find the Box Tops you’ve been saving since the last contest and send them in to your child’s homeroom! The class that collects the most will earn a trophy and an extra recess. Let’s see who will “Top” the Winter contest champs in 2E!

This program is a fun and easy way for our families to earn money for our school and the many awesome programs we have, including assemblies, field trips, Seesaw, room parties and field day.

To ensure that MES receives the most money possible, please:

DO NOT cut off the date on the Box Tops. They won’t count.

DO NOT send in expired Box Tops. They won’t count either.

No quantity is too small. Remember, your tissues and Ziploc bags don’t expire, but the Box Tops on them do! The last day to submit Box Tops for the Spring contest is Friday, May 24th.

Thank you so much for your support of this program!
