When reading with students, I keep copies of alphabet and consonant cluster charts visible on my table and around my classroom. These charts are great visuals and also provide a supportive prompt when students are getting ready to make the sounds for letters. Students are able to connect the letters and their sounds with familiar pictures.
Jolly Phonics is also a great way to learn the letter sounds, vowel sounds and consonant cluster sounds as well. It pairs not only the letter with a song but a hand action too.
