Welcome, June!
Can you believe our very special year is coming to an end? What an adventure! We built important friendships and created a loving little family in our classroom. We had lots of fun and made so many special memories along the way.
There will be lots of celebrating this month; we will learn about World Oceans Day, we will prepare for Our Kindergarten Celebration, experience our very first Sports Day, participate in fun theme days as we count down the days to SUMMER VACATION, and most importantly, we will celebrate our very first year of school with bouncy castles, face painting, and balloon twisting (just to name a few activities) at our Kindergarten Carnival! We can’t wait!!
Our special colour for this month is BLUE. Let’s hope for lots of clear blue skies so we can play and learn outside!
Our alphabet adventures have come to an end but, as we continue our review of letters and sounds, we will continue our writing activities and sounding out our words. Please sound out words when writing at home and remember to read daily.
In Math, we will continue exploring measurement, geometry, patterns, and problem solving using numbers to 10.
In Science, we will continue exploring life cycles and taking a closer look at plants.
Families, thank you so much for the interest in your child's school work this year. And, thanks for the continued support you have shown to me and to our class. It did not go unnoticed and I hope you know it was very much appreciated.
To my little students, I am so very proud of each and every one of you. I hope you will always remember how very special you are to me. I have learned so much from you and I will never forget you.
Have a safe and happy summer with your family. I look forward to seeing you in the halls next year and hearing all about your new adventures in Grade One!
