As team members worked on their chosen design solutions, it became apparent that no individual solution could solve the problem on its own in isolation.
It became apparent that a combination of elements is essential to building and to maintaining an effective online community for identifying and for sharing effective French second language resources. A workable solution must combine the best of all worlds: the sharing power of discussions and of social media, labour sharing through crowd-sourced submissions, and quick and easy resource searching through a repository. All the elements work together symbiotically.
A searchable repository, fed by crowd-sourced submissions using an online form, simplifies the resource identification process. A discussion board allows educators to share their favourite applications of educational resources and to learn from their colleagues. A social media presence pushes traffic to the discussion board and to the repository, while providing an important source of breaking news and trends. Although a tutorial video repository is out of reach given current time and funding considerations, promotional videos could form part of the social media outreach programme.
