Tutoring Opportunities

NLU Tutoring Opportunities: 

NLU has partnerships with tutoring services focused on early literacy skills.  These opportunities are open to all, as no prior experience is necessary, but they would be particularly valuable for students in teacher preparation programs.

• MCTC (Metropolitan Chicago Tutoring Corps): (view flyer here)

  • All interested students welcome, particularly Education majors

  • Grades 6-8 Math in person in CPS 20-30 hours a week during the school day

  • Paid opportunity through CPS/training provided

  • US Work Authorization Required

  • Applicants are required to take the CPS math tutor assessment, and they need to respond to communication from CPS Tutor Corps (tutors@cps.edu)

  • Recruiting for February to May 2026
