Welcome to NKY Health! As an employer, we are required by federal law to verify the identity and employment authorization of all new employees. We utilize the official E-Verify+ service from USCIS to complete this process electronically.
The employment eligibility process begins after your offer of employment has been accepted and signed.
System Initiation: Our HR team will initiate the process within E-Verify+.
Access: You will receive an email from E-Verify+ (USCIS) with instructions to create or log into your myUSCIS Account. From this account, you will access E-Verify+ and accept the Terms of Service to begin your Form I-9.
Complete Form I-9: You will be prompted to electronically complete Section 1 of Form I-9 on or before your first day of employment.
In-Person Document Review: You must present your physical, unexpired documents to an HR representative for examination. This review must be completed no later than your first day of employment.
HR will reach out to you to schedule a brief time to come in to complete this step, either prior to or on your official start date.
Note: The electronic submission of documents into the system is not a substitute for the required physical review.
E-Verify Check: The validated information will then be submitted to the E-Verify system to confirm your work authorization.
In the event E-Verify finds a mismatch with government records (a Tentative Non-Confirmation or TNC), you will be notified immediately.
Your Right to Contest: You have the right to contest the TNC with the appropriate government agency (DHS or SSA). You must initiate this contest within eight (8) federal workdays of receiving the notification.
Protection: While you are actively contesting the TNC, you may not be terminated or suffer any adverse action based solely on the TNC.
Final Result: If the TNC is successfully contested, the case is closed. If you choose not to contest or if the case results in a Final Non-Confirmation, NKY Health is legally required to take necessary action, up to and including employment termination.
