Welcome! C.W. Worthington Middle School opened in August 2023 as the seventh middle school in the Northwest ISD. Located in Haslet, Texas, our campus serves the rapidly-growing communities of Haslet and Northwest Fort Worth, within the V.R. Eaton High School feeder pattern. In our inaugural year, the Worthington Tiger Band started right away as a fully-formed program with 242 students participating in Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Concert Percussion Ensembles, Steel Drum Band, Jazz Lab Band, Drumline, Cadet Colorguard, &/or one of ten homogeneous Beginner instrument classes. In 2024 the program grew to include over 300 students, and in 2025 we grew to over 325 students. Student-musicians at Worthington M.S. take pride in directing the culture of the program through student-leadership opportunities, ensemble success, individual success, and community engagement with a focus on embodying our campus community's core values of Teamwork, Attitude, and Growth. We believe we have something very special here, and whether you are here as a student, a parent, a family member, distant relative, or one of our many community partners, we encourage you to take full advantage of the opportunities that exist to engage in any of our students' incredible performance events & activities. We know you will be impressed, and so so proud of the excellence these young people achieve through their practice habits, hard work, and dedication!

On Monday, October 6, Wind Ensemble musicians will participate in instrument-specific masterclasses with professional musicians on their instrument from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Unlike the Audition Etude Boot Camp that took place back in August, clinicians will not be here to "teach" the etudes; students received their etudes on August 13 and have been working on them since then. This Masterclass event is an opportunity for our professional clinicians to coach our musicians through peak performance practices that they can utilize to ensure a successful audition experience. Students should go home and eat dinner when school dismisses at 4:15pm, then come back to CWMS for this activity. Door 1 will open at 5:50pm and each room will begin promptly at 6:00pm. Students who need to remain on campus after school due to transportation issues must communicate this need to Mr. Fallon ASAP.
