After leaving Northwest ISD, staff login credentials are inactive. It is important that you take action on the steps outlined below prior to your final day in NISD. Anything in your Google Drive at the time your account goes inactive will be transferred to NISD Staff Archive.
What happens to my Google Drive after I leave NISD?
Contents will not be deleted, but staff accounts will become inactive. This means that the staff member who is leaving can no longer access the content, but the files remain in tact. However, this is not a long term solution as future district storage decisions may cause loss of access and eventual deletion of files.
Can I use Google Takeout?
Google Takeout is a tool that downloads everything from your Google Drive onto a Zip folder. This option is disabled for NISD staff accounts to minimize the likelihood of sensitive and private information or data leaving the district. Having this option disabled helps protect content from a data breach if an account were to be compromised.
Is there a quick way to move all of my Drive items?
Staff can submit a HelpDesk ticket (Data Request > Google Drive Transfers) to transfer ALL Drive contents from one employee to another.

This only transfers content from an NISD account to another NISD account. For personal access to files outside after leaving NISD, please follow the steps below.
Drive Transfers can only be completed once per individual. Do not request this option until the final recipient of the files is known.
This transfers ownership of ALL files. The below steps are recommended to remove personal files that don't need to be shared and assist with other data clean up.
This ticket can be submitted now with a future date listed for the transfer to occur.
