Research delivery workforce

The research delivery workforce are healthcare professionals and other members of staff who work in research sites in the NHS and other health and care research settings to recruit participants into studies and carry out the activities required within the research. Tens of thousands of people working in the NHS and other health and care organisations make up the research delivery workforce. Some specialise in delivery of  research, for example clinical research nurses, while others are involved in delivery of  research as part of their clinical role.
