There are seven directorates within the CRNCC which ensure other core functions of the Network are delivered effectively. Each directorate works closely with colleagues in the LCRNs, who lead on delivering these functions as appropriate in their area.

Research Delivery
The Business Development and Marketing team manage key accounts maintaining relationships with companies and charities. They attend conference and event engaging with new customers / business opportunities (leads). They work closely with the local networks and national specialty groups
The Research Delivery Directorate focuses on delivering clinical research in the NHS and other settings. The Directorate oversees policies, processes and initiatives to improve the delivery of research, as well as overseeing study record management. This is all done through the framework of the Study Support Service.
The Study Support Service helps researchers and the life sciences industry plan, set up and deliver high quality research to time and target.

The Corporate Directorate provides leadership and management for core organisation-wide activities that underpin Clinical Research Network development and delivery.
We ensure that the Clinical Research Network is properly structured and resourced, with the business processes, policies and plans needed to achieve our objectives.

The Information and Knowledge Directorate is made up of two workstreams: Business Intelligence and IT Ops, Enterprise Architecture and Service Management.
Business Intelligence helps the Clinical Research Network turn study and recruitment data into information that leads to insight. We do this by providing stakeholders with the tools they need to access and interpret data, which drives decision making and action, and ensures the delivery of studies in the NHS is as efficient as possible.
IT Ops, Enterprise Architecture and Service Management work with business partners to design and implement new services, and carry out regular service improvements and service reviews.
