Corporate Management is the business management function of the NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN). It provides the coordination, structure and oversight required for the Network to operate effectively as a coherent, transparent and high-performing national network.
The function focuses on how the RDN manages its core business processes, supporting clear decision-making, coordinated planning and consistent ways of working across the national network. It aligns management processes and practices so that priorities, decisions and key information are visible, accessible and understood across the RDN. It also supports the effective implementation of policy, coordinated recruitment and resourcing processes on behalf of host organisations, and the continuity of core business operations across the Network.
By simplifying and standardising management approaches, embedding learning and supporting continuous improvement, Corporate Management ensures that the RDN’s business management systems connect effectively. This supports transparent, reliable and joined-up ways of working that enable the delivery of high-quality health and care research across the Network.
