The Cluster A specialties have been very active in engaging with Life Science companies. We collaborate with BD&M on specific ad-hoc projects and organise various events to raise awareness of CRN services to Industry and to discuss how can we better work together to deliver successful commercial studies.

Renal Disorders Industry Symposium at Renal Week Conference
The Renal specialty has been holding very successful Industry Forums at the yearly Renal Week Conference for the last eight years. These events normally focus around a main theme and incorporate a panel discussion with Industry representative and researchers to to highlight our service to Industry and any potential barriers to successful delivery of studies.
Metabolic & Endocrine Industry forum
After a first Industry Forum at BES SfE conference in 2017, the Metabolic & Endocrine Disorders National Specialty Group held an event on 1 November 2018 to showcase how the NIHR services to industry can improve clinical research delivery. The event was very well attended a served as a forum for industry representatives and research active endocrinologists to exchange ideas about current and future research. The specialty plans to host another event in 2021.
Stroke
Since the first Industry Forum which took place at the Stroke Forum Conference in 2017, the Stroke Specialty has been hosting annual Industry events to showcase how the NIHR services to industry can improve clinical research delivery. The latest of these events took place virtually on 3 November 2020 and saw the participation of 21 different companies involved in Stroke research.
