CRP Engagement Leads
What is a CRP Engagement Lead?
They lead by example - the CRP Engagement Leads network was established to support the engagement with professional registration for Clinical Research Practitioners, and development approaches that supports this. They are drawn from 15 local Clinical Research Networks in England and locally appointed by Workforce Development Leads. These individuals are mainly Clinical Research Practitioners who passionately support the professionalisation of the CRP role by promoting the value of accredited registration as an asset, not only to CRPs and to their teams, but to the UK research delivery workforce as a whole.
CRP Engagement Leads who are also CRPs are either already registered with the AHCS or are working towards their registration and are a strong local voice actively shaping the future direction of developing CRPs as a profession through also engaging those in employing organisations for their support. Many CRP Engagement Leads are also CRP leaders who are actively raising visibility of this newly emerging profession, focusing on education and scope of practice for CRPs.
CRP Engagement Leads come from a range of different backgrounds, including Clinical Research Team Leads, members of Learning and Development Teams or Workforce Development Leads who are taking the lead on local engagement with CRP registration.
What do they do?
CRP Engagement Leads proactively look for opportunities to raise the visibility of CRPs.
Ensure that all partner organisations and their workforce are informed about current developments.
Work with CRP advocates in local Trusts/organisations to plan and promote events and activities in support of professional registration for CRPs.
CRP Engagement Leads are intrinsic to development of the local, regional and national CRPs community of practice.
They contribute to the arrangement of local CRP Community meetings and local communication channels for members of the community.
