The Dr Rosana Balangue-Tarriela Graduate Student Research Travel Grant application period starts on 8 March 2025 and is open a whole year round. Eligibility:

• Female Filipino citizen with a good moral character

• Registered student in the M.S. Geology degree program at the University of the Philippines Diliman

• Already on the second half towards the completion of the M.S. degree

• Not receiving any other form of similar travel grant from any entity, public or private

Benefits:

*The grant is intended to cover for a maximum travel period of ten (10 days) and could cover some of the following costs based on funds availability.

1. International economy return ticket

2. Registration fee including cost of conference dinner and any technical excursions or trips.

3. Accommodation

4. Meals

5. Visa application fees

Requirements: 

• Application Form

• Form 5 as a proof of enrollment and status, signed by the research adviser

• Written Permission (from Employer and/or Adviser): (1) for event attendance and (2) for usage of research paper for conference presentation

• Approved Abstract from the Event Organizing Committee

• Official invitation or acceptance letter from the conference, indicating the title of the invited lecture or accepted paper

• Passport copy

• Conference Announcement/call for submission

• List of Conference Organizers/committee

• Program of activities from the organizers (Summarized with your presentation highlighted)

• Proof of Travel Insurance Policy (to be submitted at least three (3) months prior to departure)

Submission:

The student should complete the application form and submit this electronically to the scholarships.upcz@gmail.com, at least six (6) months before the planned departure to attend the event. All file submissions must be in pdf format. You may access and download the application form below.
