What did you learn from the data?
What else might we need to know?
How might we gain additional information?

4. Learning Walk Process Step 2: Identify need and expectations
Instructions:
As a group, review the annotated lesson plan and student actions on pages 29-31 in your Participant Guide.
Then, discuss the following questions:
How does the curriculum support the teacher and student actions required to meet the rigor and expectations of grade-level standards?
What instructional decisions did the teacher plan for to ensure students receive opportunities to master the grade-level content standards?
What do we want to see and hear students doing and saying as they work to meet the rigor and expectations of grade-level standards?

5. Learning Walk Process Step 4: Conduct group analysis
Instructions:
As a group, analyze the three student work samples on pages 40-43 of your Participant Guide. Compare each sample to the success criteria.
Note the characteristics of each sample.
