What is the club “Paws for Pawsitivity” ?

1.  They help facilitate the “Paw Patrol” where students do doggie jobs, taking our dogs for a walk, changing their water, cleaning up after them, and giving them pets. They walk the dogs to interact with their friends and give the dogs outside time.

2. Students get training on what a service dog is, what a companion dog is, and how Nido working dogs are different from all other dogs.  They learn basics on dog human emotional response, how to hug a dog etc.

3. Students deliver the dogs to teachers who check them out for staff wellness, use them in an SEL lesson, or do a "pretest" or "posttest" pet session.  They will drop them off and pick them up

4. They help collect data by telling other kids and staff to use our "Tell our pets how you feel" and our “Pawsitivity Learning” QR codes.

5. They give SEL lessons to HS MS and ES students.
