CALKIDS PROGRAM
WHAT IS CALKIDS?
The state of California has created a program called CalKIDS to provide up to $1,500 in free money to help pay for future higher education and career training expenses. Children born in California starting on July 1, 2022, and eligible low-income public school students are awarded a CalKIDS college savings account with an initial deposit in it. Enrollment is automatic and families are not required to contribute.
You can add money to your CalKIDS account and it will grow with interest! When you go to college or a trade school, you can withdraw the money to pay for school.
