Academic Integration

Academic Integration of SEL skills into our content lessons plays an integral role in embedding SEL skills development into our everyday-everyone-everywhere support of the whole child. Within our classes throughout the day, we seek to bring the language of SEL into our discussions about the tools students use to succeed, such terms as self-awareness, strengths, social awareness, diversity, healthy, and supportive.  Further, we provide students with strategies, such as mood meters to check in on how we are feeling, graphic organizers to process through new information, and get-to-know-you and collaborative opportunities to enhance social awareness.
