This week, we really got to see our participants shine by showing us their incredible public speaking skills. Read more about it below!
See everyone next week!

Weekly Wonderings
This week, everyone’s public speaking skills were challenged! Students broke out into groups and discussed what makes a good presentation, and later were tasked with creating 2-3 minute presentations on why their partner should win the “Austin Youth Community Member of the Year” Award. After presenting in breakout groups, the top four speakers, decided on by the Great Debaters, were invited to speak in the main room and compete head-to-head with their speeches.
The winner of our speaking activity, as voted on by the NHI at Austin Great Debaters is:
Ana Lucia Nieto
Congratulations Ana Lucia, we are so excited to have you here at NHI at Austin!
