As we are coming closer to the end of the year, here is just a gentle reminder of the end dates of the Education Outside The Classroom programmes your child might be taking part in.
ACSIS Sport - The ACSIS sports season has now finished across Singapore and Nexus learners performed fantastically well, both individually and in teams - many congratulations to all those who participated! We will be celebrating the achievements in assemblies before the end of the term.
CCAs - This is the last week of CCAs. There will be no CCAs running next week (starting 20 May) except for the Fun with Pop Art make up class on Tuesday 21 May at lunch time and Creative Kitchen after school on Thursday 23 May.
Music Ensembles - All Secondary music ensembles have now stopped running, including Chamber Choir. Primary groups will run until 23 May (the night of the fabulous Primary Concert). The last week of the Tech Crew CCA will also be in that week.
Mother Tongue Programme - The Mother Tongue term will end on Friday, 7 June. Please note that due to the public holiday, the last lessons for Danish and Hindi (Wednesday class) will be on Wednesday, 29 May. The last lesson for Japanese will be on Tuesday 28 May as the teacher will be unavailable the following week.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WEEK IS THE LAST WEEK THAT THE 4.30PM CCA SCHOOL BUS WILL BE RUNNING. Please arrange for your child to be picked up if he/she has any activities happening after school from next week, 21 May until the end of the term.
We thank you for all your support and we really hope that your child enjoyed the programmes this season!
Ms Stephanie Hughes, Deputy Head of Whole School (Academic Support)
This term, school is closed on the following days:
As mentioned in previous communications, we are changing our uniform provider in August 2019. The parents, learners and staff who were involved in the decision chose really strong new designs which are a pleasing evolution of our current uniform, with fit and comfort being key factors in the decision-making.
As we go through the transition process it will be fine for learners to wear either old or new uniform to school.
We look forward to sharing final images and details of the ordering process once our new provider has completed the first production run and is ready to go! This week some of our learners have been trying on prototypes of the new uniform to check for fit.
