Key Dates for ACSIS Sports/CCA programmes

No CCAs this week. The portal will open this week to allow learners and parents to make CCA choices

ACSIS sport training continues and learners receive letters about fixtures

A lot of learners are wearing unsuitable footwear to HPE lessons which can cause injury as well as hindering their gross motor skills development. These unsuitable shoes include crocs, flat ballet pumps and sandals. Such shoes do not provide any support, and so when the learners run they have a greater risk of short and long term foot, ankle and knee injuries as well as a higher chance of tripping and falling. In addition, some learners do not feel confident to run or move freely in such shoes and so the basic gross motor skill development will be compromised.

Please ensure that trainers and shoes with a supportive base with a tight fastening are worn for HPE lessons. Thank you for your support.

We are always saddened to hear of families bidding farewell to Nexus, be it to move onto pastures new or returning to home countries. To give us time to prepare your child for moving on, give us the best possible chance to provide any information you may need and to help place new families coming into the school, we would like to ask that you give us notification of your child's departure as early as you can.

Many of our year groups are close to capacity this academic year and incoming families to Singapore are being given less notice from companies moving them here. Being able to guarantee them places earlier helps them to piece their lives together, but it also helps us to maintain good dynamics for current families at Nexus by being able to plan out class groupings (eg: nationalities, gender, interests).

Please can we ask that if you think it is likely that your child will not return to Nexus in January, that you email to studentservices@nexus.edu.sg as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
