10 November 2017

Phew! What a wonderful two weeks. As is usual at Nexus, there has been so much going on. Please do enjoy looking through the various sections to see what we've been up to. Spooky Halloween discos, extraordinarily successful ACSIS Season 1 Finals, a fabulous Year 2 Mini Exhibition and Bug Busting to name just a few...

This week culminated in our 'Wear It Pink' day. The sea was awash with pink - do watch the video in the 'Recent Events' section. Thank you all for your overwhelming support for this event and the ongoing Movember campaign. The message behind these campaigns are a little challenging for our young learners to understand. Therefore, the message we share is that when we are sick our parents and carers look after us, but sometimes adults forget to visit the doctor when they are sick. So, please may I take this opportunity to remind our community to take care of yourselves and act quickly if you are anxious about your healthy.

Finally, Christmas is coming and there's lots going on across the Nexus community. Do check out the 'Arts' section to find out about the wonderful Carols by Candlelight and view the 'NPG' section for Christmas Fete information. At Nexus, we feel that it is also a great time to exercise the spirit of giving! We are doing a Charity Food and Toy Drive for Food from the Heart (foodheart.org). For the full list of acceptable donations, please refer to the email sent out on 31 October 2017.

The deadline for all donations will be Friday, 24 November 2017. Let's help those in need to enjoy this Season of Joy.
