On Friday, 7 September, all Year 3 to 6 learners will take part in an Interhouse Cross Country Run at Bedok Reservoir Park. This will be an opportunity for all learners to 'have a go'. The focus of the day will be on participation in a fun and encouraging environment while also identifying those learners that would like to continue Cross Country training.
Please feel free to come along to the park between 10.00 - 11.15am to support your child/ward and join in the house spirit. The learners start/finish line will be close to carpark A (off Bedok Reservoir Rd). Spectators are welcome to attend but it is recommended that you take a taxi or public transport to the event as parking is limited.
We are also always looking for parent volunteers to help with race marshalling. If you are interested and available please contact me on massey.g@nexus.edu.sg.

Year 6 will be holding their annual sleepover on Friday, 14 September. The learners will be creating their own food, activities and sleeping arrangements in tents. The focus of the program is to build relationships within the year level and developing organisation skills which will assist them as they work towards Exhibition at the end of the year. Details have recently been sent home. Please return the permission slips as soon as possible.

We would like to welcome all parents and carers of Year 6 Learners into D3 Pod on Friday, 14 September from 8:30am to 9:15am for our first Unit of Inquiry. The learners have been working towards developing their Digital Citizenship Skills using their new devices. Each group has also been exploring a focus of interest in areas such as using their devices for learning and how to remain safe and secure in a digital community. We look forward to a range of exciting workshops and seeing everyone there.

FIELD TRIP
Wednesday, 5 September (8:30 am to 3:00 pm)
The Year 4 learners will be journeying out into the city to explore the impact that migration trends have had on the culture of modern day Singapore. To ensure the children are ready to go, please return the permission slip as soon as possible.
As the trip will partially involve travelling on public transport, we ask that you send an Ezlink card with $5 to school on the day with your child. In addition, please pack a lunch and snack. If your child receives a school lunch, this will be provided by the cafeteria. Please check the permission slip for more information on this trip.
RESIDENTIAL TRIP

Thank you to everyone who has submitted the 'Green' personal information slip back to the school. This should be submitted directly to Student Services. Thank you also if you have paid; this is much appreciated. The last day for payment is Friday, 7 September. Please make this payment at the Cashier (on Level 2).
