Our music ensembles have restarted and are welcoming new learners. It is lovely to be able to provide these opportunities for our learners and to support our young musician's passions moving forwards. This term our wind and vocal programmes start, as Covid restrictions have been lifted. The Singing Stars for Y1 and 2, Primary Choir Y3-6 and the Beginner Flute and Recorders have all begun and it is wonderful to be able to offer these platforms again. With a full programme running we are looking to be able to bring together a live concert towards the end of the term.
Forming a band, rehearsing, learning guitar tabs, chords and lyrics are all part of NEXUS Beats Primary band life at the moment. Our learners have been committed, enthusiastic, supportive and collaborative during this busy time and we are looking forward to the final result where learners take the stage and present their talent and musicianship to a live audience in our annual Nexus Beats Concert.
For some of these learners it will be the first time ever performing and we hope the experience will create a long lasting relationship for the love of music.
Save the date! 5 May 5pm.
Due to COVID restrictions around live performances, we had to record our primary music ensembles performances for term 3. Learners were hard at work during the term, learning notes and chords to present in our final video which was recorded the second last day of the term. We look forward to presenting the final edit to you soon!
Singing is back!

Yes, it may feel a bit overwhelming for some of you.
We really appreciate your support as many learners will love to be back in choir singing their favourite tunes!
