As always, Nexus will be organising a wide variety of cultural activities and performances to celebrate Chinese New Year. As well as the traditional Lion Dance on the afternoon of Friday, 9 February in the sports hall to which all parents and guardians are invited, we also have activities for all our Primary Learners to tak part in on Thursday, 8 February. Learners are invited to wear traditional Chinese dress to school on both days if they so wish, the alternative being school uniform.

We are looking for parents to organise and run some of the activities on the Thursday. If you would like to help please contact me on the email below.

Chinese Additional Language Subject Leader

This term learners will be taking part in Track and Field units in Health and Physical Education preparing them for the next big House Cup event of the year. All learners will have been further developing their skills of some athletic sports/track and field events in their Health and Physical Education lessons. This will be an opportunity for all learners to put those skills into practice and 'have a go'. The focus of the days will be on participation in a fun and encouraging environment and working together with learners in their house.

Please note the following dates in your diary, for later in the term:

Tuesday 27 February: Year 3 - 6 Inter-house Track and Field Day @ Choa Chu Kang Stadium, 9:30 - 1:30pm.

Wednesday 28 February: Nursery and Kindergarten Athletic Sports (Track and Field) Day @ Nexus, 9:00 - 10:00am.

Years 1 and 2 Athletic Sports (Track and Field) Day @ Nexus, 1:30 - 3:20pm.
