We are continuing our homeroom connections and polishing our skills in the FUN room. Putting in our best effort and challenging ourselves to try the level up activity. As a team, our goal this year is to make learning more visible for the learners and extend to our community. Look out for upcoming Facebook posts.
Note: Please ensure your child has a water bottle and appropriate footwear (trainers only - no crocs or sandals are allowed) on PHE days.
As our units progress, learners are developing their understanding of concepts like resilience, creativity, collaboration and excellence. Our team goal this year is to make learning more visible for our learners and support their understanding of their own learning journey. Learners look out around the campus and in the PHE spaces for examples.

Our younger learners in the advanced group have been working on refining their stroke techniques in front crawl and backstroke. This was accomplished through streamlining drills and coordination drills. The intermediate group worked on their basic skills which included streamlining and front crawl arm action with breathing. The focus was to get them to be independent and confident as soon as possible.
Older learners have been working on tumble and open turns this month. This was a fun and entertaining activity involving a large number of exercises in the water. Learners were encouraged to apply these advanced skills during each lesson. Some learners found it a big challenge and they had to practise variations of turning drills in order to master the turning techniques. During these lessons, learners have had the opportunity to develop their coordination and water confidence.
