Diversity Week - Generation Me!
Generation Me! is all about exploring the talents and passions of learners that contribute to the diversity within our community.
Through cultural storytelling, music, art, poetry, currency, texts, food and dance our curriculum will richly reflect a wide range of challenging and engaging activities across all year levels from Nursery to Year 13 throughout the week.
Workshops presented by the Disabled People's association for primary and secondary classes will share some of the challenges associated having a special need in order to promote a deeper understanding and empathy for others.
Learners will participate in experiential workshops and interaction sessions with their Inclusion Ambassadors.
The Nexus Nations Assembly is on Thursday, 8 March at 9am to which parents are invited to attend. Also on that day learners are invited to participate in a Cultural Identity Dress Up. Learners should wear something to school to represent their uniqueness or their cultures. Learners who do not want to dress up must wear full school uniform - this is not a casual dress day.

Get ready, Book Week is just about here! This year our fabulous theme is 'Read Across The Universe'. The week is full of exciting and engaging activities that the learners will experience both in the library and their classrooms. We have Mystery Readers each morning, Guest Readers and activities every lunchtime in the library, the Book Fair Sale and a Book Swap.
We are very lucky to have the author of Sherlock Sam (A.J Low) presenting to our Year 3 to 6 learners. On Friday, learners may come dressed as their favourite book character. We encourage them to bring along a copy of the book, from which their character comes, so they can share this with their class. We also ask that learners think beyond the usual Disney Princesses, Superheroes, Film Characters or Sports Stars. Characters from books in children's mother tongue are strongly encouraged. They may want to follow this year's theme: Read Across the Universe - focusing on Science Fiction/Fantasy and Time Travel.
