SwimFest returns 5-9 May and will take place for learners from Nursery - Year 9 on the days and times in the image.
Learners need to bring swimming kit, including goggles and swim cap, a named water bottle and sunscreen.
If your child's SwimFest session starts at 8:40am, they can come into school wearing their swim kit under their school uniform.
Year 3 and Year 5 learners are asked to bring in a snack from home as their usual break time may change, and they will not be able to access the cafeteria. Lunchtime is not affected.
Primary parents are invited to watch from the Level 2 Walkway, or the Level 1 Pool Grandstand. Secondary parents are invited to watch from the Level 2 Walkway.
We understand that as parents, you may want to take photos of your own children but please ensure that other learners are not photographed. Please do not share photos of other learners on social media. This is especially important given that the learners will be in swimwear.
If it rains, SwimFest will still take place. However if the lightning alarm is on, we will have to cancel SwimFest activities to ensure everyone's safety.
PHE and Swim Lessons During SwimFest:
As our swim and PHE teachers will be involved in the running of SwimFest, there will be some changes to your child's timetabled PHE and swimming lessons during the week.

We are excited to announce that the school will be celebrating this year's Care for Others Week from Monday 19 May to Friday 23 May. This week is dedicated to promoting kindness, empathy, and community spirit, and we have a range of wonderful activities planned that will involve learners, staff and parents!
The key events for the week:
Hair for Hope - Tuesday 20 May
Our highlight event! We invite learners, staff, and parents to participate in this incredible charity event. It’s a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference for children battling cancer, and we hope to see many of you joining us for this important cause. Further details are below. (It's not too late to sign up as a shavee!)
Crazy Hair Day - Friday 23 May
Let your creativity shine in this activity led by our Year 5 Learners! On Friday 23 May, the whole school is invited to sport their wildest, most imaginative hairstyles and bring in a $2 donation which will go towards Hair For Hope. Get planning your hairstyles now!
Cup of Connection - All week
A warm invitation to staff and parents to connect over a cup of tea or coffee (the coffee is on us!). This ongoing event encourages meaningful conversations and strengthens our community bonds. Look out for more details on how to sign up soon!
Anonymous Compliments - All week
Led by the Secondary Learner Council, this is a beautiful way to spread positivity. Learners send compliments to one another on the walkway brightening everyone’s day.
Compliments for the Services Supporting Our School - All week
Year 3 and 6 learners will lead activities that offer heartfelt compliments and appreciation for the vital services that support our school, from cleaners to office staff.
Escape Room - Lunchtimes all week
Fun and challenging! This escape room created by our secondary learners will be open during lunch times for Year 5-12 learners to work together in teams and solve puzzles. More details on how to book will be sent out soon.
We are so excited about this week of kindness and care, and we encourage all families to participate in the events however they can. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and show our commitment to caring for others.
Looking forward to a wonderful week ahead!
It is so exciting to see that we have 15 people signed up for hair for hope! We would love to get to our target of 20! A few people have asked me if it is too late to sign up - and the answer is no! There is still loads of time to register and get donating. Please remember that all shavees must be at least 7 years old, and have parental permission.
