The more you revisit ideas, knowledge and skills, the better your learners will understand it ... and be able to remember it!
Here is an example of me attempting to consciously plan a short sequence of lessons (on an introduction to poetry analysis) using spaced practice.
I have used colour coding to show when I am revisiting and building on skills.
I have also tried to consciously plan out using a range of retrieval practice strategies so that learners do not get bored!
When planning a unit of work you can decide which retrieval practice activity you will use in order to mix up activities. You can also plan which topics will be included to ensure all are revisited in a set period of time.
