I have been in love with broadcast journalism since my first day of class my freshman year. I hope to pursue a career in the field, and have been inspired by my teachers, my instructors, and other role models I have found in broadcast. What I love about broadcast is the wide variety of skills it involves, the places it allows me to travel to and the people it allows me to meet. I have always been a story teller and I believe being able to tell stories using visual and audio elements allows viewers to be fully immersed and connected to the experience. Producing broadcast stories comes with its own set of challenges, from finding B-Roll to convincing people to be interviewed on camera. As well as bolstering my storytelling skills, broadcast journalism has built my interpersonal, problem-solving, technological and adaptability skills.
