Kindergarten 

About Music in Kindergarten: 

• • Kindergarteners have General Music class once a week for 45 minutes. In these classes, students are

    • experimenting and finding their singing voice

    • exploring a steady beat, with and without instruments

    • using a variety of vocal exercises to discover their head voice. 

    • participating in a variety of fun, interactive singing and movement games throughout class

    • singing solos as well as with the class

    • creating their own "songs," through the "land of arioso."

    • actively listening, moving, and playing instruments to various kinds of music.
