Water

Sample Investigation:

Students study water transformations by observing two-bottle systems.

• System 1: water, sand, gravel
• System 2: water, blue food coloring
• System 3: water, salt

Heat lamps are placed over each system for the duration of the experiment. The students make annotated drawings, take notes, discuss changes, and ask questions.
